The Class: Exploring Connection, One Rope at a Time

To be presented by poisonwell and Dawn77.

Workshop Description:

This class will explore different concepts and techniques for using rope as a connective median. The focus will be on moving rope around the body while remaining connected and allowing the person being tied to experience surrender.

The first part of the class will cover basic rope handling, safety, body positioning and the concept of “rope halves” while tying (and untying). The second part will focus on applying these techniques and creating a connective experience. Throughout the class, there will also be an emphasis on exploring and discuss the bottom’s perspective and the experience and headspace created by the different techniques.

The class will be open to all skill levels and no specific ties or patterns will be shared and/or required. Depending on available time, class interested and participation, additional concepts will be introduced and incorporated.

Skill Level: All Levels
Duration: TBD (this is pretty flexible)
Rope/Gear: 3×30′ or more, Safety Shears/Cutting Tool
Class Type: Hands On, Tie Along
Class Setup: Mat/Ground Area (no hard point required)
Prerequisite: Single Column Tie, Hojo Cuff (preferred, but not required)
