This class is for you! @Rhapsody_In_Blue and @Banana_Rampage are bringing you the basics on enjoying and reducing the risk of Needle Play in kink. This class will cover materials, prep, cleaning, safety, and appropriate disposal. Also, included will be a negotiation sheet (specific to sharps play) and other referrals and resources. There may even be opportunities to stab and be stabbed! Come learn and bleed with us.

This class is NOT covering professional piercing techniques nor do we recommend ANYONE pierce anyone else permanently. Nor attempt to leave jewelry in an open wound without paying a professional! Seriously ya’ll sepsis is no joke.

@Rhapsody_In_Blue has been an active part of MI fetish and kink culture for the last 4 years. She is a nonprofit director, educator, podcaster, community builder, advocate, and Dom with masochistic switch tendencies. Bio:

When being introduced, Madame Adria is generally referred to as a Sadist. Upon hearing this it’s not uncommon for her to correct the person making the introduction. “I’m a marshmallow” is her usual quip – but the laughter that follows seems to contradict this statement. Those that know her claim it’s something about the laughter and the glint in her eye that tells you she’s pulling your leg.

She is a feisty dominant woman who began her lifestyle journey in 1981 in St. Louis – having met a lovely man who desired her as his slave. While that Master/slave relationship was short-lived, the mentorship that followed lasted for several years. Although being a sexual Sadist at heart, she fully embraces the Owner/slave dynamic and all that comes with it. She has had the pleasure of living, learning and enjoying kink around the world… always with a hint of sarcasm and a great deal of humor. If you’re not having fun, you’re doing it wrong!

Caning: From Sensual to Sadistic

Canes generally have a nasty connotation to them. Brutal. Painful. Punishing. While they can be all these things, they don’t have to be. In this class we will cover a wide range of topics, mostly focused on making caning an enjoyable experience for both top and bottom. We will cover topics including, types of canes, safety concerns unique to canes, psychological and physiological effects on the bottom, types of cane strokes, rhythmic caning, tailoring your play to music, and more. The class will also feature a 15-20 minute demonstration of a caning “scene” as a standalone scene.

Rapture, or Thom as he is known by most, has made the metro Detroit area his home for more than 20 years and has spent nearly that long in the BDSM realm. A father of three, a leather craftsman, and an avid sports fan, Rapture is a member of the board of directors for the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom (NCSF), the event coordinator of L.I.F.E.(Leather Institute For Education) Detroit, a longtime co-host of monthly BDSM parties Wicked and Dark Nirvana, and long time educator.
Rapture has presented classes all across the midwest and east coast including caning, single tails, impact play, BDSM 101, and safety at events such as Twisted Tryst, TESFest, COPE, Ohio SMART, Beat Me in St. Louis, Sanctuary Dallas, Madtown Kinkfest, NELA Fetish Flea, Sinergy, GRALE (Grand Rapids, MI), and many more.
Within the lifestyle, Rapture started his journey years ago as a horribly smart-assed bottom and submissive. Realizing that his smart mouth was not conducive to submission, he began switching, and eventually a nearly full-time Top/Dominant. While having a wide range of interests in play, his mostly positive experiences as a bottom with canes, and many other things, led to his determination to become proficient with as many of them as possible as a top.

SAFE KINKING! STI prevention and treatment

It’s time to end the stigma when it comes to sexually transmitted infections, especially in the world of kink. Not only do we need to consider infections transmitted sexually, but via blood play as well.

In this class, we will cover all the things you may already know, and some things that you may have not had taken the time to consider. Also looking at testing options and recommendations, as well as treatment guidelines.

Attendees will be welcome to ask all the questions that they may have been afraid to ask before, and will have an opportunity to participate in a STI Bingo to expand their knowledge base even more.

Bio:

Anjel_ is a sometimes shy, usually sarcastic, frequently bratty, masochistic bottom that has been interested in BDSM for the past 10 years.

She has been an active member of the kink community since 2016. She has also obtained her Master’s of Science in Nursing and is a dual board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Anjel has a passion for health care, disease prevention and health promotion, and has been involved in many community outreach and educational programs through her career.
